Home PC Backup

A year after buying Acronis True Image 9.0, finally started backing up the home PC.

As I recall, the last time I had tried it, the software had refused to detect my external HDD, so I had to just copy all the partitions as is – a waste of space. Today, it worked! So I have taken Image backups of C: and D:, and some file/folder backup of E:.

Next step : have a spare 300GB internal HDD lying around, need to add it to the PC as a secondary HDD. so hope to add it and restore the C: image onto that HDD. Test out the backup, and also get ready to move all my data to the bigger HDD. If all goes well, a nicely planned upgrade 🙂
